June 2006 trip to the LSSAS/GIRS sponsored PREHISTORIC AMERICAN ARTIFACT SHOW in Temple Texas.
We've attended this great show in the past, but this was our first experience exhibiting at a show. Zach Crain, Travis Cobb, Darrell Crain, Clayton Vandergriff & myself enjoyed the good company of Sally & Curtis Hodge and we got to visit with Sammy Ray, Cindy & Roy & Zeth Smyers, Debbie & David Calame, Kay & Guy & Guy Cuccio III, the Walker Clan, Bill Arnold, Keith & Annie Brown plus many other friends, both old and new.

Thanks to a lot of help and advice from my good friend Curtis we had our display in pretty good shape come show time. I should have taken a lot more photos and definitely should have spent a lot more time looking around at other exhibits, but like any really fun event the show seemed to be over in no time!
As always there were some very impressive displays of prehistoric artifacts but I was most impressed by the world class hospitality afforded by Dr. Leslie Pfieffer and his team in putting this show together. We had a great time!

This picture was taken during the middle of the show, you can see all the activity behind us.
The Edwards arrow point on the right is about three inches long!

Dwain always has some fascinating, high quality material at the show.

He was just packing everything back up for the long ride back to Oklahoma.

I can see where he got the sweet tooth for Alibates material!

You can see it was getting late by how many people have already left.

This sure is an appropriate part of Texas to have a Prehistoric American Artifact show. (Photo by Travis Cobb)
A Great time was had by all!
