These Evans points were collected in the early 60'sor late 50's in East Texas.
Found by the late Walter Tinney they are now in the Roy Mills collection.

Made of a variety of East Texas materials, the Evans people really seem to have liked exotic cherts.

The second group represents just as wide a variety of materials. The example on the left looks to be made of Novaculite from Arkansas. The bottom red point may be a jasper or possibly an agatized wood material.
Lots of simularities between these and my
Louisiana examples.
I wish to thank Roy Mills for sending me these pictures of his points to supplement the others I had shown. The more examples we study the closer we come to understanding a point type and there is a lot of room for study with the Evans point type!
