Pendant Knife
Archaic Period.
Cultural Context not known
This awesome artifact is now in my collection.
It was found on Chrisner's ranch near the Coryell and Bell Co. line. Ex - Bill Arnold.
I named this unusual artifact a pendant knife, but I haven't actually seen another like it.
It was made by modifying a piece of freeze fractured quart material and would have been worn around the neck like a cornertang knife. I expect that it was contemporary with one of the cornertang cultures (Castroville, Marcos or Ensor).
