Darl Type Arrow Point
Late Prehistoric, approx 1,500 yrs BP
Nicely made of a clear rootbeer flint.
Acquired from Bill Arnold, who found this point in Bell Co.
Note: This is a fairly small point. This point probably dates from the early bow and arrow period when the atlatl was still in widespread use. Although a point from this time period could have been used for either purpose, it is small enough to have been used as an arrow point or a dart point.
